The complex i live in has 5 of these larger trees. They do not match any descriptions i can find of gum trees but they do "rain" a sticky gum all the time and their leaves drop all summer making a terrible mess. It is difficult to grow anything under them due to the gummy residue. I do not have any pics but the leaves are rounded at the top and come to a point at bottam. HELP!!!!!!

Don't have any idea for the id but the dripping is usually a sign of an insect infestation. For best answer, I would take a branch with some insect(Aphid?) damage on it to your local nursery or County Extension. To many possibilities to identify, although one of the experts here might have a guess. If you could submit a picture of a leaf, branch and tree you might have better success with an identification here. Harry

The leaves are are or less heart shaped, about 3 and half inches both ways. Whole clumps turn yellow and drop. All are sticky and adhere to everything within 10 or 12 feet.
