My cactus branches are getting skinney turning grey and falling off. Is sthis natural for a growing cactus?
Might be a lack of light. My Caribbean prickly-pear made skinny little stems during the years it lived on a window sill. Outdoors, it still doesn't have as much light as it would like, but a big bush provides some needed protection.
The grey coloring could be a sign of root rot, or a possible disease. You might want to take a look at the roots.
