    Hello,
I live in Victoria B.C. I'm hoping to start some native plants from seed and was wondering which would be best to start now, end of March or early April. Any type of plant would be fine with me as long as I can buy the seeds somewhere.

    Thanks,
    Evan

Depends on the plant. Some things will germinate fairly quickly, and can be sown now, others will require pre-treatments, or are better sown in the fall. If you're buying seed, usually these requirements are listed on the packet. If collecting your own seed, a google search of the plant name along with "germination" should give you a sense of how to proceed.
