Identification: Growing an afro???

Hi, my dog threw up one night and I forgot about the bowl... About 5 days later, this is what I discovered growing. Appears black, approx 3 -4 inches in height, and has little balls on the tips of the "hairs". I swear it looks like troll hair... Any ideas?

Spore of the mould perhaps?

 

One idea is to clean up more frequently. GACK!

 

Definitely mould fruiting bodies. Disgusting, but interesting at the same time. Neat photo, too.

 

Haha...mould knows no racial hair bounderies for style...that's for sure!

 

My 'GACK!' was in reaction to the dog's unremoved contribution: the mould is amazing. Incredible how fast it can grow. Guess I really should thank the dog, because without him/her we would have no cool mould to look at!---Kind of a Don King effect, with embellishments.

 

I'm thinking? I should keep secret about what might grow on food left sitting for awhile from my son...he might get ideas with his closet.............and dinner.

 

I didn't wanna throw it away because it looked cool, but between it being dog vomit and mold... haha Looks like she threw up on a troll and crushed him!
