Wildflowers: Growing Along Streamside Colombia

    I did not get very good photos of this plant growing along a Colombian mountain stream but I was interested in the tendrils tipped in red growing from the stem. Any ideas what it is?

    It's very familiar.... I'll have to take a look in my books; it's either Araceae or Arecaceae. At any rate, the red-tipped tendrils are advantitious roots.
