I have a plant which was grown from a cutting off a plant that my mother had. We found the plant after my mother passed and my sister and I have kept it for sentimental reasons. Neither of us has seen another one like it and can't seem to identify it. It has green fuzzy leaves, with a purplish veining underneath. It's very prolific in pots, and can be grown easily from cuttings. It gets a tiny pink/purplish bloom in the very center of the leaves sometimes. It dies in the winter, but comes back even stronger in the spring with very little attention. For all we know, it might be a weed, but it's very pretty so I don't really care! It's very hardy and pest resistant. In fact, I've put cuttings in other plants that weren't doing very well, and they seem to recover and thrive with this little plant. If anyone can identify this, I would so much appreciate it. I'm attaching a couple of photos, and have more if you need them.
    Thanks!

    Looks Tradescantia-esque to me.
    T. sillamontana, maybe.

Yea!!! That's it! Thank you so much!!! It means a lot to me to finally identify this little plant, since it was my mother's. I'm not much of a green thumb, but she was, and I'm happy to have something living of hers that I can take care of.

    Hey, glad to help.

Your plant has a bunch of common names---one of which is 'Kitten's Ears'!
I like your description of how your plant seems to help others...I'm thinking that your mom's green thumb is still doing its good work! :-)

I saw a listing that gave it the name of White Velvet, but I like Kitten's Ears better... and thanks for saying that about my mom..... maybe so.... she was pretty much of a healer as well.
