Plant located at 7000 ft (2130 m) Annual precipitation is about 15 (38 cm)
Temp can briefly get as low as -20 F (-30 C) The area is usually described as the high plains. Plant has been found in direct sun and also in forested areas. It usually retains its leaves and color in the winter. It does not appear to be an escapee
    Can anyone name that native?
