I would introduce this little plant to my yard if I knew it isn't invasive. About 1" high, seems to form mats (spread by runners?), has deeply serrated delicate leaves, and tiny, 1/2" 5-petaled pink flowers. The spiny shoot to the right might be seeds? That parts over 1" long. Any idea what this is? Thanks. Frith
Erodium cicutarium, pretty much invasive. Incomer from Europe, spread all over the states. It will not remain the same as in spring: it will be overgrown into a thin branched liana and not at all a ground cover.
