Hello All, Recently we purchased a tree with a green smooth trunk with foliage similar to maple leaves. We were told at the time of purchase that this was a Silk Floss tree. After doing extensive research online I have not found any photos of a Silk Floss with these type of leaves. Here are two pics of our tree, if you have any ideas on what type of tree this is, please feel free to share your wisdom :) We want to make certain that we know how to care for it so it thrives in our weather here in Phoenix, AZ. The gentleman that helped us at the nursery was unsure of it's classification and offered minimal assistance identifying the tree. At first we were told it was a Silver-Cross, with modern technology at my hands I stood there and googled that and told him he must be mistaken (the only images in the return search were of Blackberry bushes), after a long wait he came back and told us it is a Silk Floss. Regardless, we bought it because we really like it, no matter what it is.
