New documentary series from the BBC, of the usual high standard. The first episode "Fire" aired last night, and featured cold-adapted species that have evolved in the isolated highlands and mountains, not something one immediately associates with equatorial Africa. Includes the first ever film of the Kipunji, a "new" species (and genus) of monkey only discovered in 2003, of which only approximately 1000 individuals are believed to exist. Available from BBC iplayer until feb 14th for those with UK IP addresses. I am sure it will be broadcast elsewhere soon, or maybe released on dvd, and allegedly is also available through unofficial sources.
Watched it in TV last night. It was an excellent program. Even the back ground musak was not as intrusive as many nature/wildlife programmes. To be recommended as maf has said.
