I recently bought a house in south Florida. The house has a great yard and wonderful palms but I have no idea what any of the palms are or the plants. I have posted some photos below if you know what these guys are please let me know. Thanks
The top 3 are not palms, only the bottom 2 pics are palms. Draceana, Tree fern, and a Cordyline. To properly ID the palms for correct spelling I'd need my reference material. I will post later. Cheers, LPN.
The palm in the lower left corner is Chrysalidocarpus lutesens. The other shows a couple of things. On the right side of that pic it looks as though it may be Ravenea rivularis and the peice to the left of it may be a species of Caryota.
Thanks so much. I'm about to have them pruned and cut back for hurricane season. Should I be fertilizing them?
I think that the one in the top right corner is Beaucarnea recurvata, the bulbous base is out of the picture. If so, it actually is in the Liliaceae, not Palmae. Joe
