Identification: Grass C: Seed Head is Light Brown with Very Dark Brown Core

    Hello Everyone,

    Do you know what this plant is? It is a grass, and its seed head is a brown tuft, but has a core that is a very dark brown.

    Location : Mount Seymour
    Elevation : 1200 to 1300 m
    Season : Late July

    Carex macloviana or similar (many lookalikes, identified by fruit characteristics)
