Hi there I was wondering if it's ok to wrap grapevines with astro foam, to protect them from the cold winters or are there other materials to protect them. I normally bury my vines but it's becoming to be to much work for me. I was wondering if there are any suggestions or advice people can give.

    THANKS

    Hello,
If you have varieties hardy enough for your climate they should manage without protection. I never do anything to protect mine here in zone 5a (that's not true, I put some straw mulch around the plants this year). I have a big garden, and growing, so it would be impossible for me to devote too much time and effort to each and every plant. What can't survive on its own simply has to go. But they do.
