I've made a few minor modifications this evening. I've created a magnolia forum (Eric, could you search and transfer relevant threads?). I've also "graduated" some forums from being subforums into main forums such as New to Gardening (which used to be under HortBoard, but now is top level).

My criteria were 100 threads or 200 posts. I've done this because I dislike how the subforums take up so much real estate on the page when viewing something like the HortBoard - I think it is confusing to be confronted with 6 "new" forums, when all people really want to do is post a thread. On the other hand, it's good for the lower volume forums to have a home, which is why some still remain subforums...

The net effect is to make it necessary for increased scrolling. I can alleviate this somewhat by removing "forum posting time" (e.g., 8 hours ago) and "user who posted" (by Daniel Mosquin) from the main displays - let me know what you think if you've an opinion.

I've also added a Featured Forum link at the top of the page. We'll try to change this on roughly a monthly basis.

It'll be nice having a magnolia forum.

Eric, could you also move the Michelia threads? Michelia has been reclassified as Magnolia.

Hey Junglekeeper, already on that one. I did move the threads I found on Michelia from the Woody Plants Forum to the new Magnolia Forum. (I think there were only one or two.) I may find some threads in other forums over the next few days as well.

I purchased a Michelia maudiae last year. It was in bloom at the nursery and I could not resist the fragrance. I hope it blooms soon. (The friend's house where I planted it is up for sale.)
