Not sure what to make of these, we have them in purple and also white varieties. Each flower is about 2 inches long, the stems grown to about 10-12 inches or so. Tempted to call them Penguins or Donkeys, as viewed from the right angle they seem to have enormous nose, with beady little eyes and droopy ears. What are they?
Thanks for the tip - found em: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cypripedium_acaule And we won't be picking these anymore!
