Have a 6 foot high Goji berry bush which has produced berries for many years. Last year a great crop went black seemingly overnight ( following a storm). Cut the bush back over winter and regrew in spring & looked like good crop of berries forming. However, as berries ripened they went black on ends , opened up & rotted; maybe not in that order. Towards end of season enclosed some branch ends in plastic bags ; berries in these bags developed & ripenen fine but for the most part berries on other branch ends also started to fruit normally . Not sure what to make of this. Looking for suggestions of what to do to prevent problem from recurring. Any suggestions?

i came across a youtube video that mentioned if your soil lacks calcium, the fruits can turn a bit rotten or blackish as you mentioned. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5QrW0g1Tpw fastforward to 3:00mins he mentions the problem you might be having and the solution. hope that helps.
