We've had this Jade tree for less than a year and haven't really done anything with it. I admit I probably have been slightly over watering it. It gets a decent amount of light from the south window. Anyways, the last few months I have noticed the leaves getting eaten. At first I thought it was my cats, but then noticed some small black flies around it. I think they are gnat flies. How do I get rid of them without harming the plant? Should I just repot it? Thanks
That damage couldn't have come from gnats, it looks like it got hit or pinched or something. If you have gnats then you have been WAY overwatering, then breed in damp soil. The plant looks good but be sure to let soil dry out totally between waterings. It's a succulent and rot is more of a threat then gnats.
