I have a gloxinia that has about 25 blooms coming off one stem. My problem is the back of the leaf bloom area, where it attaches to the stem is starting to turn brown. Why? What is happening? Thanks for any answers.

Monday - so far I haven't had any buds drop, but continue to look like they will bloom. I've followed all the "rules and regulations" pertaining to this plant from the time I trimmed it back to bare nubbins to today. I've had a lot of comments on it's beauty, now if only I get many blooms, I'll be extremely delighted. Thanks for the information!

Friday - hooray! No buds have dropped. It looks like 40 blooms on this one stem. Four are ready to bloom - probably while I'm away for the weekend - bummer. Tuesday should show a beautiful set of blooms.

Well, here it is about three weeks later and I have 14 gorgious blooms and it just won't quit. There are about 21 more blooms to go on this one stem, 15 on another and 5+ on a third stem. How long does this go on? The leaves are about 10" in length - not from the stem, that's another 3-5 inches. The overall plant is about 28" in length, 20" in width, and 14" tall. Any special instructions when the blossoms fade and fall?
