Durgan, how many artichoke plants? Looks like 3. Are they all the same age, or how old are they? Year 3 is when they start to show great flavor.
There are seven in the garden. Six planted in 2008, and one that I over-winterd in 2007/2008. All will be over-wintered 2008/2009 by cutting back to six inches in October, and covering with wood chips.
