I got a small palm plant at church today and want to look up how to care for it, but can't seem to find anything that leads me to identification. It's a group of green trunks that come out of the pot, some split once (not a 50-50 split, more like a main trunk and a leaf that becomes a new stem). The leaves are slightly offset on either side of the trunks, the second starts right where the first ends on the other side and then there is a small (less than 1") gap before leaves 3&4 etc. The leaves themselves are long and thin tapering to a point at the end and one vein running down the middle. Thanks for any help and if you need more features just ask!
My apologies, it is a palm!! A little to young for me to id yet. Someone else might know, I will have more of a chance when I am not at work. Shhhhh ;) Ed
