    Ginkgo Biloba Horizontalis

    Hi everybody,
I'm searching some interesting tree as a solitaire for my own garden and one of my friend advise me Ginkgo Biloba Horizontalis.
My garden is small (28x130 ft), inspire little bit by japanese style and place for this tree is near to pond on small hill, over a banch (I need a shadow of this tree for the banch).
I like Ginkgo Biloba but I have no knowledges about this cultivar (I'm amateur in this branch). Please, can you give me some informations about it, or links with it. I would like to see some photography of this cultivar.
    Thank you for your help.
    Pavel

    Hi Pavel,

It's been a long time since you posted your question, so you may already have your answer or even have your tree planted.

This will get to be a very large tree. Take a look at this site. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to 'Selections' and read 'Horizontalis'. You can click on the red camera to see a picture. It will be the yellow one on the top of the page on the right. There are several you could look at there.

Here's another picture of one that I think is very young.

I don't know how cold it gets in the winter where you are, but if you have a small garden and a pond you might want to consider a Japanese maple. There are many that don't get larger then 10 feet and are weeping. If you want information on them I would be glad to try and help.
