Hello! I was given this plant yesterday and I have no idea what it is. I've tried using several online identification guides but because I have almost no knowledge of the plant it has been impossible. If I can find out what it is then I will be able to learn how to care for it.

It has reddish-pink stems, the leaves are large (about 3-4 inches wide and 5-7 inches long) and look like lopsided hearts. The front of the leaves are green and the back are reddish-pink like the stems. It is potted and I believe it was kept indoors although I cannot be certain.

Here are several pictures. I appreciate any help, thanks!

It looks like some type of begonia maybe?...especially the flowers. If so I believe you would have to winter it indoors in your area as it wouldn't survive through the winter outside. Regards, plantluver

That is definitly a type of Begonia.
I would have to say a Semperflorens (Wax Begonias)
