    There aren't many photos of these giant sunflowers on the forums. I posted one from UBCBG one year, asked if it was Helianthus annuus; no-one replied that it wasn't, so I'm assuming that's what this is. Maybe it's a recognizable cultivar? This is from my neighbourhood, not something I grew.

    Looks right for H. annuus; a good supply of bird seed developing there!

    Thanks, Michael. Here's a photo of the one next to it, showing that the ray petals are entirely yellow.
