Hi everyone, Does anyone know where to buy giant strawberry plants like "maxim" in BC or canada?? Has anyone had any experience with them?? Any tips to increase the size of strawberry on the cultivar already growing?? G1

You are right to be thinking in terms of finding whatever large-fruited cultivars may be available there, rather than trying to find a specific one that may no longer be available. Strawberry cultivars seem to come and go rather quickly. A man I talked to at a local farmer's market who was bringing plants with huge fruits turned out to be apparently conserving the cultivar, because when I tried to dig up a little background on it on the internet (and perhaps elsewhere) I think I may have found very little, if anything. I do remember him saying the yellow jackets really went for the jumbo fruits and it had to be covered to get them to full maturity.
