I moved into a home that had a well established grape vine i want to replace it with a diffrent vine but i cant seem to get rid of it. It regrows every spring. any suggestions on how to get rid of it for good its a little to aggressive for me:)
If it's vigorous and well established, why not try a graft with a variety you like? Check this site: http://berrygrape.oregonstate.edu/fruitgrowing/grapes/graft/graft1.htm An Illustrated Guide to Field Grafting Grapevines, Northwest Berry and Grape Information Network, Oregon State University Otherwise, if you've tried digging it out and it came back, paint the leaves with roundup at the recommended rate (dilution) then dig it out next spring when you are preparing for the replacement planting Ralph
