Hello again, another beginner's question. If I use rootone on the mature japanese maple seeds I got off trees at work, (I recently started working at a small nursery,) will those seeds likely be viable through a method other than stratification? I had great success germinating trident maple seeds with the simple wet paper towel method and was just curious as to whether the same could be done with japanese maple seeds as I would like to get started planting them. I have had a few bags of seeds in dirt in the fridge as was suggested in multiple guides but they have only been in there about a month, only 1/3 of the time the guides said it would take. Thanks =)
New Guy, Sorry I don't know what effect rootone would have on samaras. I was wondering which plants have "mature" seeds in May? I have had some success germinating JM cultivar seeds but I've been collecting them in Sept/Oct.
