Has anybody here had success in germinating Chirimoya seeds? I have a pair of really gorgeous Annona cherimola 'Cariamanga' fruits that I would dearly love to replicate.

Web sources say everything from "just stick 'em in the dirt" to "don't try." I'm in Ecuador, which is the Chirimoya's native land, and they're so common that I find it difficult to beleive that they're tough to start....

I'm going to try a long-soak and ziploc in the sun process, as well as just stickin' them in the dirt....

    Thanks!

Mine have germinated without much care. I ate my Cherimoya and planted the seeds in a pot with well drained soil. I tried to keep it moist and after a month or so I saw that a few of the seeds had germinated and had begun to grow.
