I am new to this forum, and I have a question about Garry Oaks. Last fall I collected some acorns from the grounds of the Victoria hospice, and several of these have germinated. I have them in pots, and they are about 10 cm tall. My question is: how do I grow these on, to eventually be planted out in the Gulf Islands, in memory of my brother? Any advice greatly appreciated. Also, will they have to be protected from deer?
Plant out in final positions this fall, unless you think you need to grow them to a bigger size first.
