I want to use Gardenia x ‘Frost Proof’ as a border along a side walk. It should not exceed 4 foot so I am considering trimming or pruning to keep it this size. Will this plant tolerate pruning. I am in zone 8 and the plant will be in direct sunlight in the afternoon. It will be on the west side of the house.
