I have several Aimee's and I have propagated them from one plant that is about 2 years old or more. I have had it a year and it has been a joy. It bloomed from May to September. Big Blooms and everytime I cut one to bring inside I was able to plant it and now have several of the young plants. But, the weather this Spring has been crazy here in NJ and I put them on the south exposed deck where they were last summer all summer, there is a retractable awning if the sun gets too warm, but they were very happy until we had a very cold spell and the temps went down to the low 40's at night. Plus I repotted it when some of the buds were forming. Having said that here is the problem....some of the buds are falling which was caused by the repotting I am sure. However, the buds that are opening are beautiful for a day and then they begin turning brown around the edges of the petals, almost looks like they are burning, except it happened today again and the sun was not out yesterday and it is raining today. I hope I am being clear, I feel I am rambling, but I am so concerned. I know how to raise these things in the greenhouse and the ones in the greenhouse are not blooming yet, so I can not compare. Why this year is this happening when last year they were at the same location all Spring and Summer. If anyone can help me solve this mystery of the browning of petals on the edge I would appreciate it. These blooms last for days under normal circumstances. If you want to contact me privately my email is JBerger431@aol.com. in the event I am on the wrong forum or whatever. Thanking you in advance.
