Garden Snails

    Hi,I would like to request help in aquiring 2-3 dozen garden snails for my young grandaughter who is crazy over them,I would glady pay $20.00 plus postage to Manitoba,anyone interested please PM me or email me at sherryz@mts.net,Thanks Brian

    Not a good idea to transport them anything other than very locally! Importing them from other areas may even be illegal.

    Relic, snails are real pests in the garden. As Michael F indicated, if they aren't already native to your area, it would not be a good idea to import them.

    Perhaps your granddaughter would enjoy snails of an aquatic fish-tank variety. Such an arrangement would keep them from infesting your garden, and they would be easily viewable at any time. Also, your g-d could learn about ecosystems, gastropod habits and care, and all that sorta thing.

    Why not take her for a visit to your local pet shop? You could set up a small tank for the snails---maybe with some fish or frogs or PLANTS, eh?
