I have a Gymnocalycium mihanovichii var. friedrichii which is on its own roots, and doing well, all except it seems to get stuck in its flowering cycle. It currently has a flower bud about 1" long coming up from the body. There are several buds that are miniscule, just breaking the skin of the plant. The bigger bud has been this way for 2-3 weeks. I am guessing that the bud may have grown when it was hotter, around 90F than it is now 70-75F. Is heat the trigger for this plant to flower? Or is something else going on? Thanks, Rob
