In our garden we have noticed several spots of a yellow slime like substance that turns a sawdusty brown and crusty on the top. It appeared on the top of an onion, on a strawberry plant and then on the inside of our garden box on the wood. This is the second year that we have had the garden, in the same boxes, and I've never seen anything like it before. As the slime dries and turns brittle, it actually gets a little bigger. I don't have the ability to post a picture of it. Can anyone help?

Google Fulgio septica and see if that is it. in the absence of a picture, IDing it is realllllly hard.
