I love that the prospect of mushrooms makes us so happy about rain :-)

Hey frog---I am still boggled by the mental image of mushrooms larger than SUVs...! Like something from a fungi theme park. Now there's an idea I could get behind. Mycotic World!

I have a friend who studies fossilized fungi - there are few fossils of fungi and generally quite small, so I'm going to ask him about the largest known.

I remember the news about a fossil of a giant "possibly-fungus" named Prototaxites a few years ago: But then they hemmed and hawed about whether or not it was a fungus or a plant or what. At the time I was super excited as it was reported to be over 20 feet tall!
