Fruit tree?

    Hi - I just bought a new house and found this very interesting tree in the yard. It had white flowers earlier in the year and now has these red berry/fruit looking things. They look tasty but I will hold off on eating them until I hear that they are safe.

    Hello Mooga

    it is some sort of dogwood. not really edible but not poisonous. really kinda bland in taste

    If you can get a picture of the last six inches of a branch, with the leaves or needles or scales in a clear shot, it would be much more helpful.
