We have just moved to the Okanagan Valley and have a number of fruit trees on our property. I would like to know when is the best time to prune these trees? We have 7 apple and one each of peach, necturine, pear, cherry and plum.

:) wait till you see the folks in the orchards pruning, get home, start your own pruning.

kidding of course. for most fruit trees I do dormant season pruning and a touch up in the mid summer (sometimes to reduce fruit load).
