My macintosh apple tree has many fruit buds on all branches. Why is this?
Isin't the tree supposed to be dormant?

    Gardenlover -

I don't know if this is what you are looking for - the section between the second and third chart on the page struck me as being relevant. It is a little "heavy" if you are not familiar with some horticultural esotericism, but it explains concepts enough to be able to plod failrly easily through it.

COLD-HARDINESS AND DORMANCY OF APPLE TREES. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Hope this helps. It really was just a quick scan - I'm a little to hyper right now to really review it.
