    Please help!
I had a ponytail palm that was potted, but left out in freezing temps over the winter. It was covered, but we were not anticipating the freeze to be as bad as weather men predicted.

There are 3 bases with trunks about 5' tall. The crowns all turned to mush and the leafy parts drooped over. I cut it way back - to about 2-3' tall. I'm afraid I may have killed it now. The trunks are no longer firm, and one of the balls are becoming mushy as well.

Please tell me if there is anything I can do! I am so sad that I didn't listen to the weather reports here, but they have "cried wolf" so many times, that I just did not believe it would be as cold as they were saying.

    Thanks!!

It's probably history along with many other less hardy plants we've been growing for a decade.
