    I used this material on one tomato plant and it withstood two nights of frost. Here is the method of covering that was used. A plastic cover is not adequate used alone to prevent frost damage. I suspect a flannel sheet material would also offer some protection in conjunction with the plastic cover.

    In the fall, I usually cover my tomatoes with fleece blankets. It usually protects them just fine from a light frost. I agree that plastic does very little.

    Wow. I would say you have a cold spring this year Durgan. Aren't you planning for warm ups now?

    No more frosts now. The four month growing season has commemced. Now there will be no frost until sometime in September ikn my little area.
