fronds splitting on Robusta

I have a 15gal. Mexican Fan Palm and the fronds are splitting,I think due to the winds,it looks ugly with the fronds all tore up, does anyone else's fronds split,and what can I do to stop it.

Wind will have it's way with nearly any plant or palm. Unless you have a wind free location, this is a certainty.
