French tarragon, Artemisia dracunculus, is a wonderful herb that I had trouble growing in previous years. It turns out the trick was less water. This year I only let the rain to give it moisture, and it is doing great.

French tarragon is grown for its distinctively flavored leaves. Its mint-anise taste is particularly suited to vinegar and fish. It was also used to stimulate the appetite, relieve flatulence and colic, cure rheumatism, and relieve toothache.
