Looks like the flowers develop into round fruits so probably a Phellodendron. Otherwise, the first thing I thought of was Tetradium (Euodia).

Are the two pics from the same tree?

I am not sure if this is the same tree. First picture is taken June 1,second on on May, 31, 2010, both in Ottawa. They could be native, they are from the local river park

Two different trees, -- Fraxinus and Phellodendron as Ron suggested.

Just for the record, it was Michael's suggestion that they were two different trees.

Any tree that is an ash will have flowers developing into winged samaras, like those of a maple but not joined at the base into pairs.
