Wildflowers: Fragrant spiral bells...

    These little guys are typically about half a foot tall... each flower maybe 4mm in diameter.
    Fragrance is quite strong, sweet and very nice - something reminiscent of Anise.
    Not much in the way of leaves - most of these are just a stick shooting up from the earth. Only one of several had obvious 'blades of grass' leaves ( shown in photo)

    Anyone here recognize them? They are more beautiful in person than my pics would lead you to believe!

    Looks like they are Spiranthes indeed ... :-)
