These are growing in an open area bordering woodlands. There are quite a few native plant restoration projects on public lands going on, so I'm always coming across new species. This is probably one of them. These plants are about 2 ft tall or more. When crushed, the leaves are very fragrant, almost kind of minty, although they don't look like a mint. Well, after posting and doing some research, I suspect it's probably a Mountain Mint, Pycnanthemum spp. If so, first time I've seen it here.
