Hi. Attached are four snapshots of flowers I am using in a digital art project. I believe the first is a Gazenia but want to be sure, and don't know the others. Would appreciate any guidance.

    Thanks,
    David

The last two look like dahlia to me.

    Perhaps a Gaillardia

    Gaillardia, or something else?

Thanks. After your reply, I did some looking on the web for Gaillardia. These flowers don't look like any I've seen on the web -- the one I'm curious about has a bulging center with the petals almost swept back, somewhat like an echinacea flower. I encountered more of these flowers yesterday, but could find nobody around to ask what they were. Too bad.

another plant that comes to mind is Rudbeckia

    Black-eyed Susan

Thanks. Just did a search on Rudbeckia, and indeed I think there is a match. Black-eyed Susan, I found, is it's colloquial name. They did look dimly familiar from childhood. So far I haven't been able to find an exact match, but the general shape and size of these flowers and Rudbeckia sound right. The orange central ring of the petals is different from what I take to be the more typical black-eyed Susan.

    More anon,
