Identification: Found this.

    This guy was growing up in between my deck. Not sure what it is. I'd like to make it a bonsai, because it seems to be about the same age as my daughter. It'd be nice to know if it should last long enough to pass it on.

    A juvenile-foliage cultivar of most likely either Sawara Cypress (if foliage soft) or a juniper (if foliage hard and prickly).

    Hi I'm new to this so please bear with me. This would make a great Bonsai! and most juniper type trees are the easiest and hardiest to start with makes a great beginner bonsai so get online and find info on how to start, one important thing to know about bonsai trees is many of them do not like to be indoors and juniper is one of them. I have one who lives out on my deck through the hard winters of Wyoming and does'nt like it when I bring him in even if its just for and hour besides he looks pretty with snow on him!
