    There will be more to come, but these are a good start. Found this weekend in central Alberta. I wasn't taking the pictures so I apologize for the ones that don't lend themselves well to identification...

    Heracleum and probably Arnica.

    I figured the Arnica. Of course with the Heracleum we're worried about Heracleum mantegazzianum. How do we know the difference. Safely, that is...

    Yes, they are the North American native species and not the giant hogweed. Which has a different leaf shape and flowering habit.
