Just found two bags of perfect looking tulip bulbs (Fosteriana & Single Early) which I apparently forgot to plant last fall. They spent the winter in my unheated garage so certainly got some serious below zero chilling, but since they were in a dry bag rather than the ground I don't know if that makes a difference. If I plant them now is there any chance they will bloom (very late) this spring? If I need to store them until next fall what is the best way to keep them from sprouting, shrivelling up, or getting mildew?

If you plant now you will get leaves, but no guarantee on blooms, but they will be ready to flower next year.
I would recommend planting now as there is a good chance of them sprouting anyway, or something else happening to them before the fall.

Me too! Full of great spring floral ideas —— then ….

ask @Pieter on « virtual garden tour »
He has apparently provided many bulbs to resident rodents this past year

for me — just as tulip is about to bloom - the deer herd comes by with their neighbourhood pruning service

I say - no loss now - plant and see what happen :)

Might help to soak them in water for an hour or two before planting, and water them well if it's been dry.
