This was found in New Hampshire, USA in a forest area. My dad was going to eat it! My mom told him not to until she could find out what it was. I offered to help. I searched a lot but still couldn't find out what it was. Now here I am. Can anyone help me?

Baneberry, Actaea rubra. The berries are poisonous.

Thank you very much for your quick response. I'm glad he didn't eat them!
