Some years back I read an article about forcing dormancy to get faster growth. I believe it was about Amorphophallus titanum, but I'm not 100% sure. Do you any of you remember anything like that? I couldn't seem to find that article again. The idea was that after the leaf is fully open, during the extended growth cycle (sometimes years long because it comes from an area without seasons) there is little extra tuber growth. They showed how most of the tuber growth happens during the initial leaf growth spurt, and for overall growth it was a quicker path to maturity, flowering, and large leaf size if you forced dormancy after a much shorter leaf-open cycle. Have any of you heard anything like that, even about other bulbs or tubers? Thanks!
